Timber for Practical Projects

At Tableland Timbers Pty Ltd, we operate a sawmill serving Grafton with rough sawn hardwood and timber milling for building, outdoor work and property projects. Whether you're preparing a materials list or working out which timber best suits a job, we welcome a conversation about species, dimensions and intended use.
All our timber is rough sawn and green. We do not dry, dress or treat timber.
That distinction matters when planning how it will be handled, stored and used. We don't describe it as dried, dressed or treated, because those are not processes we carry out. Take a look at our story and the products and services below to understand what we produce.

Explore Our Timber and Sawmilling Work
We can discuss structural sawn hardwood for building requirements, decking timber for outdoor surfaces and timber sleepers, posts, rails and fencing for landscape and boundary projects. Our custom timber milling service is useful when standard dimensions don't suit a job. We also undertake logging and private native forest harvesting, with attention to responsible timber sourcing.
Why Choose Our Sawmill?
Timber orders work best when the intended application is clear from the start. We discuss the relevant species, size and grade rather than assuming that every hardwood product suits every project. Our approach also reflects the practical realities of working with green, rough sawn material.
Established sawmilling knowledge.
Our history reaches back to 1992. We use that background to help customers have useful conversations about timber requirements.
Clear product specifications.
We identify the grades and timber types relevant to an enquiry. Customers can plan with an understanding of the material being supplied.
Custom cutting conversations.
A project may call for lengths or sections outside a standard list. We welcome enquiries about cut-to-order timber.
Responsible forest practices.
Sustainable sourcing is part of our stated approach. We work with responsibly managed forests and private landowners who share that commitment.

About Our Family-Owned Business
Our family-owned EWPAA-Certified business is committed to sustainable forestry practices. We source our timber from responsibly managed forests and private landowners who share our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Since 1992, we've been connected to sawmilling and logging in the Clarence Valley. Our work covers timber production as well as harvesting on private land, bringing an understanding of the material from its source through to the sawmill.
